Fatshark revealed that, since launching, Warhammer: End Times: Vermintide has successfully sold over 300,000 copies in a little over two weeks. In celebration of this achievement, they have decided to make the first downloadable content pack, known as Sigmar’s Blessing, free to all players until December 3, 2015.
Martin Wahlund, CEO at Fatshark, stated, “We couldn’t be happier to reach 300,000 sales of Vermintide so far and the player reception and feedback, has left us humbled more than anything. I’m super excited to announce that Sigmar’s Blessing will be free for all current and future Vermintide players, plus, going forward, Vermintide will offer alternating free and paid DLC.”
This DLC introduces several new features, such as player control over what loot is dropped and a new altar in the Inn that provides ways of sacrificing existing loot in order to improve your arsenal. It also features new traits added to the loot tables, as well as new, unique weapon drops in the “Red” loot class for each of the game’s 40 weapon types.
Fatshark is also planning to add a private mode to the game for those wanting to take on the challenge of facing off against the Skaven alone. Realism mode, which removes the HUD, crosshairs, and more, is currently on the way, and finally, a survival mode will be added into the game soon.
