Nighthawk Interactive, Croteam, and Devolver were thrilled to announce the official launch of The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition for PlayStation 4 today. This title, based on the award-winning PC game written by Tom Jubert, known for FTL and The Swapper, as well as Jonas Kyratzes, known for Infinite Ocean, is a metaphysical parable about intelligence and meaning in an inevitably doomed world.
Arriving on Steam in late 2014, The Talos Principle garnered critical and player acclaim, and now they hope to repeat the success on PlayStation 4 as it arrives in both physical and digital forms.
The Talos Principle will take you on an existential journey as you control a sentient artificial intelligence placed in a simulation of humanity’s greatest ruins, which are linked together through an arcane cathedral. You will be guided by the ethereal voice of Eloim as you embark on a journey to discover whether machine and man are one as you solve a series of increasingly complex puzzles.
Here are the game’s key features, as presented on the official press release:
· Complex Conundrums – more than 120 immersive puzzles through the eyes of an advanced artificial intelligence construct;
· Historic Representations – sophisticated technology furnished by the creators to unravel each predicament entombed within digital recreations of humanity’s ruins;
· Croteam Technology – Croteam’s Serious Engine 4 technology, the next advancement in the engine behind the Serious Sam series;
· The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna Expansion Content from the PC Version – four additional episodes from the pens of Tom Jubert and Jonas Kyratzes to expand the story of self-discovery.
Joseph Sutton, president of Nighthawk Interactive, stated, “The Talos Principle: The Deluxe Edition is the perfect game for audiences to lose themselves in the philosophy-driven, mind-bending world and puzzles created by the talented team at Croteam. It’s only a matter of time before PS4 fans will finally experience why the PC version, from renowned indie publisher Devolver Digital, quickly became a critically-acclaimed must-play for fans of deeply immersive, complex puzzle games.”
The Talos Principle Deluxe Edition is priced at $49.99.
