One Upon Light receives new screens and video

Rising Star Games and SUTD Game Lab have decided to share some new screens and a gameplay trailer for their upcoming top-down puzzler, One Upon Light. This title will launch on the PlayStation 4 system across North America and Europe in late October at a price of $11.99/£8.99/€11.99. Once it does, RSG and SUTD Game Lab advise you to put your fears aside and take the dark path.

Check out the game in action below:

One Upon Light has also already managed to garner critical acclaim, earning several awards over the past two years. These include IGF China’s Best Game (2013), 4Gamer.net’s Indie Prize Winner (2014), Famitsu’s Indie Prize Winner (2014), and Digital Life’s Editor’s Choice First Runner-Up (2015). Check out the screens of the game below:

And here are the game’s key features, as presented on the official press release:

  • Use the unique properties of light and shadow to explore and overcome obstacles
  • Employ the power of the Shadow Echo to ‘record’ shadows as they appear, temporarily locking them in place in order to progress
  • Visually charming and inspired by classic black and white cartoons, Once Upon Light is a true test of skill, brains and photophobia

Can you stay out of the light?

Unigine Heaven DX11 Benchmark’Heaven’ is a benchmark that puts GPU under extreme stress by cranking out gorgeous visuals in Direct –
X 11 and Open – GL 4. As the name implies, it is
a game in which the player sees the action through the eyes of the character
he is representing and involves the use of pistols or rifles to kill the enemy.
This will help you get the most out of your gaming experience.
