Rumor | Sony may look to file lawsuit towards Square-Enix

In the world of video game news, we often hear a lot of news, rumors, and opinions. This will definitely fall under the rumor category, as it comes from a Microsoft Xbox retail representative. Speaking with the representative as she was visiting a Best Buy store , she was mentioning a lot of the new titles coming to Xbox One later this year. Among them was the obvious Rise of the Tomb Raider, a timed exclusive with Microsoft from Square-Enix; or so we are lead to believe…

According to the the representative, Square-Enix may likely keep the title exclusive to the Xbox One, as news on the possibility of a PlayStation 4 version has been relatively quiet for a few months now. She then went on to say that Sony was actually threatening a lawsuit towards Square-Enix for the vagueness of the release of a PlayStation 4 version.

Of course, this should be taken with a grain of salt, as this lawsuit doesn’t seem to be mentioned anywhere else and retail representatives often don’t have the most credible sources. It doesn’t hurt to mention it though in the event that this might be the outcome if Square-Enix decides not to deliver to all the PS4 owners. Regardless, does a lawsuit seem to be a bit much for this sort of thing? Feel free to post any thoughts or opinions on that matter in the comments below.
