Netmarble Games revealed the release of the first major update for their blockbuster mobile action role-playing game, MARVEL Future Fight. This update features the characters from Guardians of the Galaxy and will see the introduction of new heroes, villains, a new mission stage, and several additional in-game features.

That’s right, you’ll be able to see Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Gamora, Drax, Yondu, Nebula, and Ronan appear in costumes inspired by Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Of course you won’t just gain access to these characters without any work involved; you’ll need to go through a new “Special Mission” stage where you can work to win items that will help you unlock these new heroes and villains.

In addition to the characters, a new “Dimension Shift System” has been added, providing players with a way to gain access to playable characters as well as providing a new dimension to the game. This system will have players working to defeat bosses that may jump into their battle at any time. So you could end up fighting beasts such as the mighty Hulkbuster or Black Cat in order for a chance to add those characters to your own roster.

The game’s overall system has also been polished, based on user feedback. Some changes include making it easier to obtain your favorite playable characters, as well as the ability to change gear attributes in a more robust character customization system.

Speaking of the update, Kon Young-Shik, Netmarble’s CEO, stated, “This first update marks the first of what we hope will be a continuous stream of enhanced content and popular character additions. We look to further the popularity of MARVEL Future Fight globally through regular updates set to bring players a greater gaming experience.”

What are your thoughts on the new update? Are you excited to try out the new characters?
