Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition arrived in stores
The time has come and so have I. Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will laugh last because you came to die. That’s right, folks, Nero, Dante, and the rest are back on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at the MSRP of $24.99/€24.99/£19.99 across North America and Europe.
This new Special Edition of the original PlayStation 4 release includes all of the action that the original title had while adding in three new characters, a new Legendary Dark Knight Mode, Turbo Mode, new costumes, 1080p support at 60fps, and a rebalanced combat system.
The characters joining Dante and Nero as playable characters include Dante’s powerful brother, Vergil, Trish, and Lady, and each of these five characters have their own unique playstyles. These five playable characters make sure that Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition has the largest roster of any of the Devil May Cry games yet.
Devil May Cry 4, the game tells the story of a young knight from the Order of the Sword named Nero. This mysterious group that Nero is a part of is committed to the extermination of demons. Nero is soon tasked with finding a mysterious assassin who murdered the head of the Order of the Sword, none other than the legendary Dante.
As Nero hunts down Dante, more demons begin appearing throughout the city. Soon Nero will discover Dante’s motives and begin to question the truth behind the intentions of the Order of the Sword. Has Nero been betrayed by the group he trusted? Or has Dante truly turned evil?
