Top 15 Predictions for E3 2015
With less than a month until E3 2015 begins, rumors start to surround gamers’ imagination. Will we get to see the real Gen4 in action? What will publishers bring to the table this year? And how can Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo blow our minds? I don’t have all the answers and I don’t think anyone of us does, but I expect 15 great things to happen this year at E3.
Here is my Top 15 Predictions for E3 2015:
We’ve already know that Rare is working on a project that Phil Spencer is proud of. The British studio’s fame came after they released video games like Banjo Kazooie, Viva Pinata, Blast Corps, Battletoads, Kameo: Elements of Power, and not Kinect titles. Now they are ready to come back with something fresh, even if it is a reboot or something like that, and my bet is that Banjo Kazooie will be announced on Xbox One at E3 2015.
After THQ announced their bankruptcy three years ago, the future of Darksiders franchise was uncertain. Nordic Games uplifted the fans’ hope when they acquired the rights for the horsemen of apocalypse video games and now it seems the right moment for them to reveal a sequel.
Microsoft has already announced that the new Canadian studio Black Tusk will develop the next Gears of War game for Xbox One, for which a teaser video is expected to be shown at this year’s E3. And, because Gears of War is a popular franchise for Xbox fans, I also expect to be announced a Gears of War Ultimate Collection for Xbox One. (Just following the same path like Halo series do!)
PS Vita and Remote Play are not dead yet, even if the handheld devices seem to be less popular nowadays like they used to. A couple of months ago, Sony has trademarked a 3rd generation of PS Vita hardware, which makes us wonder if they will try (fail) once again to sell it or if they will finally bundle it with the PS4.
2K Games is ready to announce a new AAA title at E3 and I hope they are preparing the launch of Mafia 3 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. This year we had a lot of rumors about a new Mafia game being in the development phase, making the fans to go wild about the news. Mafia 3 is expected to be set in Louisiana, to have a co-op mode and to be build as an open world video game.
