Microsoft Bans Gears of War Xbox One Leakers

After the numerous video leaks from the past few days about the remastered version of Gears of War on Xbox One, Microsoft has addressed the issue by sending a handful of bans. The leakers have received a temporary ban on Xbox Live, and won’t be able to play anymore games online or access any of the XBL features.

“This being said, as per that agreement with the testers in fault, Microsoft also permanently disabled their Xbox LIVE accounts (as well as other suspected accounts present on their Xbox One kits) and temporarily blocked all of their Xbox One privileges – meaning that for a period of time which Microsoft decides on depending on the severity of the offense, their Xbox One is entirely unusable.” VMA told Kotaku in a detailed email.

It’s very likely for Microsoft to pursue legal actions on top of the ban, and exclude the users from any other future beta test. Leaks can sometimes cost companies a lot money, and should be reduced to a minimum.

After this, we’re surely going to find out more about Gears of War Remastered in the near future!
