Sony has announced that the lifetime sales of PlayStation 4 have now exceeded 22.3 million, since the console launched back in November 2013. This means 44.6k consoles have been sold each day since launch… Or that every two seconds a PlayStation 4 finds an owner.
Sony’s latest financial report notes shows that over 14,8 million units have been sold in the preceding fiscal year and that the platform holder is projecting sales of another 16 million PlayStation 4’s before 31st March 2016. PS4 sales generating around $11.5 billion (£7.4bn) for the japanese company.
However, the other consoles manufactured by Sony are not doing so well… PS Vita and PSP sales have declined from 4.1 million to 3.3 million units over the same 12 months covered in Sony’s report.
