SEGA announces Total War: Warhammer
Recently SEGA of America and SEGA Europe announced a new title from Creative Assembly. This title, the first developed in partnership with Games Workshop, creators of the well known Warhammer Fantasy Battle tabletop game and miniatures, is known as Total War: WARHAMMER, and is set to release on PC, Mac, and SteamOS.
In the turn-based campaign, you will find the Old World to be an unforgiving, treacherous place that is filled with endless war and cunning alliances. Regardless of your chosen race, you will wind up facing a conflict threatening to tear the fabric of reality itself asunder. Here’s the official announcement trailer:
Total War: WARHAMMER is the first in a trilogy of titles, and the developers promise that it will deliver “hundreds of hours of absorbing gameplay”. They go on to state that, “It will combine with two further standalone instalments and additional content packs to create the single largest Total War experience ever,” in the official press release.
Ian Roxburgh, Project Lead of Total War: WARHAMMER, commented on the title, stating, “We’ve always loved the Warhammer universe, and couldn’t wait to approach it with the same colossal scale and authenticity that has characterised our titles for the last 15 years. We’re bringing it to life in a way that nobody’s attempted before.”
How well will Warhammer and Total War mesh together in the new title?
