Star Wars: Battlefront Content not Affected by DLC Plans, Game Producer Confirms
In most modern games, DLCs plans are swarming in way ahead of the game’s launch. Meaning that developers don’t even finish their games before thinking about extra paid content, and some common evil practices are cutting the game’s original content and then distribute it on a paid Season Pass model.
Apparently, Star Wars: Battlefront won’t be that kind of game, if you believe game producer Jesper Nielsen. Here’s his take on the matter:
“The amount of content in the game has absolutely zero to do with DLC. I can say that with all honesty,” he said.
“If you think there’s anything we’re not including in the game to save it for DLC, I can tell you you’re 100% wrong. In this project, I’ve never heard anyone say ‘Let’s not do this for launch so we can do it as DLC instead’. Ever.”
We would love to believe him, but we somehow can’t, especially known EA’s past. Hopefully, the game won’t be crushed by greed, and will deliver a satisfying amount of content even for those who won’t pay above the regular $60 for the game.
