The latest weekly update for Destiny on Bungie.net from David “Deej” Dague has some new details on the upcoming download patch for the game, Update 1.1.2. The next major update is set to expand the Vault space for Guardians, which has been a point of contention for players for quite a while. In addition, the next update will prepare players for the arrival of The House of Wolves DLC due out in the second quarter. The update also mentioned “some new features that everyone can enjoy.”
In terms of the increase of the Vault size for item storage, the current vault allows Guardians to store 20 armor pieces, 20 weapons and 20 general items, which includes materials, shaders, emblems, ships and vehicles. The new update will expand the Vault size, so players will now have storage spots for 24 armor pieces, 36 weapons and 24 general items. You can check out a sample picture of the expanded Vault size at the above link.
Personally, having 36 spaces for the the general items would have been preferable, since I have run out of space for all my different shaders, emblems and ships. Update 1.1.2 for Destiny is set to arrive in a few weeks, so it will be available some time in April.
