How to skip the first three bosses in Bloodborne

It’s been four days since Bloodborne’s official release and there’s already people digging away at it, looking for ways to break it. There’s a way to skip the first three bosses in the game with a few tricky jumps. If you’re wary of spoilers, stop now. This trick will skip Cleric Beast, Father Gascoigne, and Vicar Amelia, and put you right into the Forbidden Woods.

Here’s what you have to do:

  1. From a new game, escape the clinic by dodging the werewolf and opening the gate.

  2. Run up and past the enemies. Pull the level to extend the long ladder and climb it up.

  3. Light the lamp, go to the Hunter’s Dream and get a weapon. Return. Run down and jump off the ledge to enter the main street with all the enemies.

  4. Run back away from the enemies toward the shortcut, but instead of opening the gate, break the boxes and approach the big guy. You need to parry and visceral attack him to get him out the way.

  5. Then you need to a running jump toward the fence where the coffin is sitting, or right of the lamp post.

  6. Once on the ledge, run to the right toward the carriage and turn around. Run forward and do another jump over the fence so you’re on the other side.

  7. Drop down into the graveyard and take the ladder down to the forest. Congratulations, you’ve skipped the first three bosses.

This will more than likely get patched very quickly, but it’s a great trick if you’re looking to speedrun the game. I couldn’t find the founder of the glitch, but there is a current world record speedrun that includes it, which I’ve put below. If you know who found it, let me know and I’ll credit them here.
