Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma announced today via Miiverse (video below) that the development team is delaying the release of The Legend of Zelda for Wii U past the late 2015 window that they were aiming for.
Aonuma notes that as the team has continued developing the game, new ideas have come up and that what the team has in mind for the game exceeds even their own expectations for what it will ultimately become.
As such, the game will also not be shown at E3 as originally planned, according to Nintendo’s Twitter account.
