Rising Star Games heads to EGX Rezzed 2015

Today Rising Star Games has revealed that they’ll be bringing seven playable indie games to the show floor of EGX Rezzed 2015. These seven titles will be featured in the Rising Star Games showroom, and are the following: Ratz Instagib, Tulpa, Cloudbuilt, TRI: Of Friendship and Madness, Kromaia, The Marvellous Miss Take, and one title that they haven’t yet revealed. Before we get into that, however, gamers can also celebrate the event by getting half off of Cloudbuilt, TRI, and Kromaia until March 26, 2015.

Here are some quick descriptions of each game, for those who haven’t been following them, courtesy of the official press release:

Ratz Instagib by Lino Slahuschek
Inspired by the classic Instagib mode of Unreal Tournament fame, Ratz Instagib takes the concept of arena-based FPS gaming and renders it down to its core essentials: namely, blasting your friends into tiny pieces with high-powered weaponry. Players take control of a railgun-toting rat in household-themed arenas, with every shot being a potential kill – no more shooting opponents repeatedly to little effect or suffering cheap deaths at the hands of people with an unfair advantage. It’s every rat for themselves on an even playing field!
Tulpa by Encryptique
Two beings entwined by fate; a woman and her soulmate, left to travel through a hauntingly elegant world where things can change in the blink of an eye. Taking control of Ophelia and her ‘tulpa’ Oliver, players must journey through surreal landscapes full of fantastical, bizarre, and often deadly encounters. Much is left to the imagination and it’s up to the player to work out how to proceed and what to interpret, maneuvering past traps and unraveling abstract puzzles to discover what lies at the end of this deeply metaphorical adventure.
Cloudbuilt by Coilworks
Cloudbuilt is a game of speed, precision, and freedom. Quick wits and even quicker reflexes will become your closest friends as you carve your own path through the mysterious floating ruins high above the clouds. Use a rocket-powered exoskeleton to manipulate the laws of physics and avoid fatal hazards, dodge hostile robots and reach not just the finish line, but the top of the worldwide leaderboards too! Fast-paced competitive action will push the limits of gamers seeking a challenge time and time again.
TRI: Of Friendship and Madness by Rat King Entertainment
The realm of the Odd Gods beckons in this weird and wonderfully mind-bending 1st-person puzzle adventure from Rat King. TRI: Of Friendship and Madness will continuously challenge players to be creative and to think outside of the box in order to find new ways to overcome seemingly impossible obstacles. Use the power of the TRI to build platforms, reflect light, climb impossible ascents and even defy gravity in a quest to find the true secret of the Fox god!
Kromaia by Kraken Empire
The recent winner of hóPLAY 2014’s ‘Best Creative Design’ award, Kraken Empire’s Kromaia is an immersive journey that mixes technology and myth for an innovative gameplay experience. Players will explore new worlds protected by giant god-like guardians, filled with ancient temple ruins, and littered with puzzles to solve and treasures to collect. Featuring full 360˚ freedom to fly, spin, and shoot, adaptive enemy AI, several unique Armors (pilotable ships) with different attributes, and a wide range of ancient, alien worlds to explore, Kromaia looks to change the shoot-’em-up genre forever!
The Marvellous Miss Take by Wonderstruck
Packed with thought-provoking dilemmas and high-security measures, The Marvellous Miss Take uses organized chaos to keep players on their toes. With guards that decide their patrol routes on the fly, security cameras keeping watch, persistent guard dogs, and innocent gallery-goers to avoid, The Marvellous Miss Take is a bold and compelling take on the stealth genre that will thrill all kinds of gamers with its pick-up-and-play design and extensive replayability.
Now, the seventh and previously unannounced title has been revealed as none other than PONCHO. This game, heading for PlayStation Vita, 4, and Steam, is a parallax platformer that Rising Star Games claims is “Like nothing ever seen before”. They’ve shared the game’s debut trailer so you can catch a glimpse of the title in action:
