NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive have released a new behind-the-scenes featurette video for Mortal Kombat X. The Mortal Kombat X: Konnections – Kitana video is available in the player below.
The video features Mortal Kombat X quality assurance analyst Steve Brownback sharing his long and storied history and love for the longtime classic Mortal Kombat character and Kombatant Kitana. Brownback is also a pro tournament character, and Kitana has always been his favorite Mortal Kombat character going back to Mortal Kombat 2. In addition, Brownback shares a look at footage of Kitana’s gameplay variations for Mortal X. First, Kitana will have the Royal Storm variation. This is a long range variation where Kitana can use her fans for projectiles. Second, Kitana will have the Assassin variation, which is more of a get in close and rush down your enemies style. Finally, Kitana will have the Mournful variation. The Mournful variation allows Kitana to use the glaive and staff of her friend Jade. Kitana is using the weapons in tribute to her dead friend.
Mortal Kombat X finally hits the shelves on April 14. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
