Nobody was surprised when NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon revealed on Twitter that Mortal Kombat X won’t have a demo. Mostly because demos are a rare breed these days, while Alphas and Betas are a more common practice. He also didn’t mention why the studio made this decision, and it’s very unlikely for us to find it out anyway.
Your only chance to try Mortal Kombat X before its official release date, is to attend events where a short demo of the game will be available in booths. Looking back at the release of Mortal Kombat in 2011, we do remember playing a demo before actually going out and buying the game — so we’re wondering, why the change of heart with this game?
We’ll find out when Mortal Kombat X hits the stores on April 14, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
