Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin’s Gameplay Shows Technical Improvements

by on February 7, 2015

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is coming in April, and From Software released a gameplay trailer to give you a glimpse of the technical improvements put into the game.

The new version of the game will run at 60 frames per second in native 1080p resolution, and it will have upgraded lighting effects and cinematic filters, bringing a richer and cleaner look to the game.

But let’s get back to the frame rate, which has the most impact on the new experience. The players will benefit of more fluid movement and combat, helping them when things get really tough. But that’s not all, Dark Souls II will be even harder now that the enemies are able to follow you through fog gates, while the item locations and enemy positions will be different to what you remember.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is out on April 2nd 2015.
