Battlefield Hardline open beta begins February 3
EA has today confirmed that the open multiplayer beta for Battlefield Hardline will start on February 3, and will run through February 8.
The beta will be available on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
“There’s nothing more valuable to our team than the relationship we have with our community. Their passion feeds our passion and their feedback has definitely helped make Hardline a better game,” said Steve Papoutsis, General Manager of Visceral Games and Executive Producer of Battlefield Hardline. “We want them to play the hell out of the beta next week and trust that they’ll keep that feedback coming so we can continue to fine tune the game.”
According to EA, the open beta will feature three different maps and modes, including Hotwire mode, which features high-speed chases, as the criminals will try to steal marked cars and the cops will attempt to repo them. The mode will be playable in both Downtown and Dust Bowl maps.
Conquest mode is playable in Dust Mode for up to 64 players (on PC, PS4 and Xbox One), while the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be capped at 24 players.
The beta will also let players check out Hacker mode, in which one player on each side can hack into security cameras, spot enemies and specify where to attack or defend (sort of like having a commander).
Battlefield Hardline’s official launch is on March 17 in North America, March 19 in Europe and March 20 in the UK on Origin for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
