by on January 28, 2015

Sony announced a new service entitled PlayStation Music, which has at the core the popular service Spotify. PlayStation Network users will be able to link their account with Spotify and use the music streaming app starting with March 29, 2015.

PlayStation Music will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, as well as Xperia smartphones and tablets. The company also announced that Music Unlimited will be closed prior to the new app’s launch. Everyone who currently uses Music Unlimited will receive up to 30 days of free access for PS Music.

Spotify includes more than 30 million songs and 1.5 billion playlists. It also can be used while playing games on PlayStation 4, making multiplayer matches a bit more interesting.
