A new video game based on the famous horror movie franchise Friday the 13th may launch this year. The project is currently in development for “multiple platforms” and the final version will offer an “asymmetrical, co-operative and competitive multiplayer predator/prey horror experience”, in which the players will attempt to survive against Jason.
“With a new television series on the horizon and plans announced for the thirteenth installment of the film franchise, we felt the timing was right to finally explore Jason, Camp Crystal Lake, and the rest of the Friday the 13th story in interactive form,” said Sean S. Cunningham. the original movie’s creator.
“We have some exciting new ideas for a game that supplies plenty of replay value, while delivering the kinds of thrills and scares that fans of the franchise have come to expect.”
Until now, we don’t know on which platforms the game will be launched, but the choice of words “multiple platforms” from the official site suggests the possibility of releasing the game on PlayStation and Xbox too.
