Activision has released a new trailer for the upcoming 2015 Call of Duty Championship and announced the details for the event. The upcoming eSports event is presented by Xbox and is set for March. The trailer is available below.
The Call of Duty Championship will take place on March 27-29 in Los Angeles, California. The event will be streamed live online and on Xbox Live, and players will complete for a $1 million prize pool. So it seems any parent who believed their kids could never have a career making money by playing video games was wrong. Activision, Sledgehammer Games and Xbox partnered with Major League Gaming for the event.
The 2015 Call of Duty Championship will host 32 Call of Duty teams who are assembling from all across the globe, including Asia, Australia, North America, South America and Europe. The qualifying for the championship will take place through online tournaments on the Xbox One and will be broadcast on MLG.tv. The regional finals will take place in February through March in Australia, Brazil, the UK and US. The regional finals will also be played on the Xbox One and broadcast on MLG.tv The semifinals and final match will be broadcast on Xbox Live on Sunday, March 29.
