PSN Down Again On Christmas Day

After Sony’s online service was down yesterday, PSN is again down for an unknown reason. While the problem isn’t displayed on Sony’s official PSN status page, several users reported that they can’t log into PSN and play their favorite games in their holiday break.

We also tried PSN, and it’s not working for us either. Were you planing to play some PlayStation games online this holiday? Well, you currently can’t. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we get more information on this matter.

Here’s Sony’s updated comment regarding this outage:

Xbox Live on the other hand, is now back in service.

Here it is Christmas morning 12/25/14 8:30 am EST – My children run down the stairs to see what Santa has left them for being so awesome this year….Well what you know PS4s are under the tree – the excitement builds as they race to get through all of their presents and the next step will be setting up the PS4 so that they can enjoy their new presents – We are now 7 hours into Christmas Day and we are still not able to enjoy the entire experience that Santa had brought them with the PS4- The disappointment on their faces, alone, broke my heart as Santa had chosen the PS 4 over the X Box 1 – We continue to try and set up the system for them but now the excitement has waned and they are no longer happy with what Santa has brought them and the “We should have asked Santa for the X Box 1 ” chant has begun – This is unforgivable as a parent, a consumer, and a conveyor of good wishes on xmas day – We paid good money for the systems and their accessories and games and the ilk with the confidence that we would be able to utilize a product that was sold in working order – I believe that I will never get back the Christmas spirit for today, The happiness that was stolen away from my children, and that was taken away by Sony not living up to their end of the bargain – What a very disappointing Christmas – Thank you Sony for ruining our special day
Others may run to the defense of technology and say things like “hey things happen” “just be patient”…Imagine you just purchased a car and you went to take it for a drive – it doesnt start – and you try to call the dealership – but you are told “sorry about your luck , you’ll have to be patient…I imagine most of you would not find yourself in the forgiving mood…I can only imagine the comments that will ensue …but to those comments I say – I wasnt talking about your Christmas – i was talking about mine – im sure that you Christmas came out just fine and their were no issues and no disappointed faces and smiles and love and….Well good for you…ours on the other hand was not quite as picture perfect and I find that the blame goes to being sold something told something and it not being what it was …

Really guys??? You if your network fails multiple times a year than lower the prices on your system. I don’t feel like I’m getting what I pay for. You have 1 job and that keep it running. Especially when hard workers such as myself get 1 day off during the holiday and can’t enjoy a system and games I’ve Spent over $1000 on… Upset with you guys. Love ps3 and ps4 but this happens too much.

Wtf ?? Multi-million if not multi-billion dollar Company and is always getting hacked. FYI, PSN should put some money into some high-tech security. If a lil group can shut down your company ?? If I were I would hire some hackers to work and maybe they’ll show you how it’s done !!!! I have new games I wanted to try and a boring Xmas day . Sure wish I could play right about now. PSN sucks

its not that sony doesn’t have a good security, (ill admit they have a bad one) its just that they either got DDOS hacked which is flooding the server with too many clients or because of everybody getting the new system and downloading the updates that it crashed the server
