Xbox Japan Head Stepped Down Due to X1’s Poor Performance
After Xbox One hasn’t impressed with its sales in Japan, Takashi Sensui, Xbox Japan boss has stepped down and resigned from his position. However he will not leave the company, being brought to the firm’s headquarters in Redmond, Washington.
Takashi Sensui has been the head of Xbox Japan since 2006, and after this change, he will be working as General Manager for Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. He will work under Xbox VP Mike Nichols and continue to support Xbox Japan in the future.
Xbox One has performed miserably in Japan since its launch, in September, managing to sell only 38,461 units. The numbers are worse than what Xbox 360 and the original Xbox sold at their time. Last week, 776 Xbox One consoles were sold in Japan…
