htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary arrives in February
Today NIS America was excited to announce that their new puzzle action game will arrive on February 24 in North America. This title, htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary, will be a PlayStation Vita exclusive, with digital copies available on PSN.
Those who prefer to have physical copies of their games will be able to obtain one exclusively through the new NIS online store. Gamers in Europe will also be able to pick up the game on February 25, though only the digital version will be available.
For those who haven’t heard anything about the title, htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary is a brand new and original IP from Nippon Ichi Software. It features picturesque visuals and represents one of the company’s new directions towards creating games.
In htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary, a young girl by the name of Mion rises from a deep sleep. She is in the depths of a labyrinthine ruin, lost, alone, and with no memory of how she got there or where her parents are. Mion soon encounters two fireflies, one made of light and another that lurks amongst the shadows. These fireflies will need to work together in order to recover Mion’s memories and lead her out of the ruins.
It sounds easy enough, but the ruins contain many dangers. Voracious shadow beasts, ancient machines, and treacherous traps will all be in her path. Does Mion have any hope of surviving, even with the fireflies? What, exactly, do Mion’s lost memories contain? What sort of connection lies between her, the ruins, and these helpful fireflies?
