Developers Steel Wool Games and publisher Ripstone were thrilled to announce that the newest title, Flyhunter Origins, arrived on iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone, and Android devices yesterday. You can catch a glimpse of our hero in action below:

The game brings film quality cutscenes, character design, and story-led gameplay that you would expect from a team with Steel Wool’s credentials. For those unaware of the team’s credentials, they are a group of animation-film veterans who decided to take a shot in the gaming industry.

Flyhunter Origins places you in the shoes of Zak, a bumbling spaceship janitor and wannabe Flyhunter. He works on the legendary spaceship of the Flyhunter Crew, The Frog, and longs for an exciting adventure of his very own. Those longings will be fulfilled soon, however, as the ship’s important cargo of exceedingly rare insects somehow gets jettisoned into space and crash-lands on Earth.

With the Flyhunter Crew still in cryo sleep, the only one who can reclaim the insects is our bumbling alien janitor. He’ll swap his sweeping brush for a fly swatter and attempt to take on the role of a daring Flyhunter. But will he be able to reclaim the missing bugs before “The Investors” discover what’s missing?
