PlayStation Now Subscriptions “Coming Soon”

Director of Marketing Peter Jamshidi revealed on the official PlayStation Blog that a subscription-based model will be coming to PlayStation Now, making the service even more interesting.

“Yes, A subscription plan is being worked on, and I’m very excited about it. We see it adding a complimentary option to rentals as a way to enjoy immediate access to PlayStation 3 games via PlayStation Now. More details coming in the near future!”

“We are focusing on the amazing PS3 library at the moment, but do have plans to go back even further in time and offer PS2 and PS1 games longer term.” he continued.

While a subscription similar to PlayStation Plus does seem interesting, the only thing that matters now is the price. Seeing the insane prices Sony has on PS Now, we can’t really expect for a cheap subscription. But things can change, and we might be getting an awesome service sooner that we thought.
