BANDAI NAMCO Games was excited to announce that Tales of Hearts R is now available in North America. This title, which is the latest entry in their long running TALES OF RPG series, brings a classic tale of discovery and adventure to Western audiences. Tales of Hearts R features beautifully animated cut scenes that convey the story of the game’s main character, Kor Meteor.

Kor has been training with his grandfather in the ways of the sword. His grandfather, impressed with Kor’s growing skills, decides that it is time to pass an unusual weapon known as a Soma to the young man. Kor soon learns that this is not only a weapon for destruction, but can also be utilized in order to fortify a person’s ailing Spiria.

Spiria is the embodiment of the heart and soul, and it plays an essential role in the world. After all, Spiria is the most powerful force known. Unfortunately, for as powerful as it may be, it can be disrupted by intense emotions such as anger, hate, fear, and yes, even love. Due to this, Soma users must possess exceptionally strong Spiria in order to withstand these emotions.

You will soon encounter the game’s female protagonist, Kohaku Hearts. She is, along with her brother, Hisui, fleeing from a mysterious witch while searching for a Soma weapon. Soon a series of tragic events unfold, sending Kor, Kohaku, and Hisui on a grand adventure to uncover the mysteries of the Spiria Core.

Tales of Hearts R features the TALES OF Linear Motion Battle System with an Aerial Chase element that allows players to maneuver enemies into the air for fast-paced combos. Fans will be able to enjoy the artistic animated design that is characteristic of the TALES OF series.
