Blizzard has today announced Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void at Blizzcon 2014. The game, which first appeared like an expansion to Starcraft II, will actually be a standalone game as players will not need to own Starcraft II to play.
Legacy of the Void will let players take on the role of the Protoss as they try to reunite the group, using the Spear of Adun which is an ancient Archship. The game will also include Archon Mode, which is a combination co-op and PvP mode, as players will work together to control a single base and one army.
No release date has been given, but more details will surely follow.
