Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is in your hands. You bring it home, take off your jacket, turn on your console, and slip the disc in. For most people at this point, the question is whether to jump into the single-player campaign or the multiplayer. For some, though, there is only one option: to try to break it.
Many of the glitches involve the game’s new exo jump mechanic that boosts you into the air, allowing you to move vertically through the maps, and in this case, right into areas the developers seemingly don’t want you.
Call of Duty doesn’t do public beta testing, so maybe that’s why several people are discovering multiplayer glitches that let them stand outside the map with a good view on enemy players. None of the videos I saw were recorded during live multiplayer matches, so there’s a chance none of them actually work against other players, but if they do, it could cause Sledgehammer Games to quickly push out a patch or two.
Almost all of them offer clear instructions to pull the glitches off, so if you want to have the upper-hand in a match, you can learn how to.
One video mentioned that an out-of-boundary glitch on the Recovery map only worked on the new consoles. That particular person also said he found many glitches don’t work on the current systems.High Moon Studios, not Sledgehammer Games, worked on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. So, if you’re playing on the older systems, you might want to be wary of getting shot out of nowhere in multiplayer … at least more than usual.
