Throwback Entertainment, an entertainment publisher committed to immersive mobile gaming experiences, today announced that its
retro-inspired, arcade-style Earth defense simulator, Deflector, is now available worldwide on the Windows Phone Store.

The game uses simple, yet addictive gameplay. Earth is threatened from every angle by comets, asteroids, and even alien starships, It’s up to you to utilize the Deflector Weapon System to eliminate the threats. You will activate deflector shields, missiles, laser beams by tapping the on-screen buttons or even swipe the globe to change the control scheme.

Each of the threats requires a specific defense mechanism. This means that you can’t just mash buttons and hope for the best. If you try this, you will make things far worse, making the ships and projectiles far more formidable.

If you want an extra challenge, you can utilize Immersive Mode. This features  a HUD-free interface where you must rotate earth to activate its three defense systems. You must defend the Earth no matter what.

Deflector is available to download for free from the Windows Phone Store. Though there are optional token packs, which you can purchase for $1.00, you can play the game completely free of charge.
