To celebrate Halloween and the age-old traditions of Samhain, Rising Star Games has decided to slash the price of one of their Steam games. The game in question is none other than Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut, which will have its price reduced by an astounding 90%.

Starting today, October 24, and running through October 27, players who are interested in the title can pick it up for a mere $2.49. Once the celebration ends, however, gamers interested will have to pay the full price of $24.99 if they wish to grab it on PC.

For those unaware, Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut, is an award-winning game from the creative mind of Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro. The game gives players a mysterious open-world experience with detailed interactions with the Greenvale locals. In addition to the main story, gamers can participate in numerous side quests and mini-games as they help solve the murders and uncover the many hidden town secrets.

You are placed in the role of special agent Francis York Morgan. You must investigate the brutal murder of a young local beauty amidst the backdrop of soaring mountains and a small American town. It’s up to York to solve the mystery of the Red Seed Murders and stay alive in a strange place where both supernatural creatures and a killer aim to end his investigation.

Will you be able to solve the mystery? Or will these creatures (or the killer) manage to put a permanent end to your investigation?
