Latios and Latias achieve Mega Evolution
Today the Pokémon Company International was thrilled to announce new details for the upcoming Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, which launch on November 21. This information included the fact that Latios and Latias, two Legendary Pokémon, will be making their Mega Evolution debut. In addition to Mega Latios and Mega Latias, these two have a brand new ability known as Soar.
The two Legendary Pokémon aren’t the only ones making their Mega Evolution debut, however. Mega Beedrill and Mega Pidgeot will also be featured. Pidgeot’s Mega Evolution form will boast increased Special Attack as well as an extremely high Speed. Couple this with Pidgeot’s Hurricane and No Guard ability (which allows all moves to hit despite accuracy), and this flying Pokémon can pull your tail out of the fire.
Once Beedrill achieves Mega Evolution, the stingers on the tail and arms grow. In addition, new barbs will sprout from its legs, granting it an Attack boost. These, combined with its Fell Stinger (which raises its Attack by two stages when it knocks out an opponent) and Adaptability (raises power of its same type moves from 150% to 200%), and Mega Beedrill is quite a powerful offensive Pokémon.
The Pokémon Company also went on to detail the PlayNav Plus tool. This features the PokéNav Plus, which is a new item designed to help players navigate across Hoenn. The tool is packed with applications that will help you find hidden and specific types of Pokémon in tall grass, thanks to the DexNav. You will be able to check out various information about the region thanks to AreaNav. The final new feature in the PokéNav Plus is the BuzzNav, which allows you to view news from around Hoenn as well as other players you’ve passed.
The PlayNav function will also offer the three popular features that appeared in Pokémon X and Y. The first of these is the Player Search System, which allows you to trade Pokémon and battle with players nearby or around the world. Next up is Pokémon-Amie, which will allow you to play with your Pokémon and feed them treats, growing the bond between Trainer and Pokémon. The third popular feature is none other than Super Training, which allows you to better prepare your Pokémon for battle.
