Paradox Development Studio has unleashed a brand new expansion for their best-selling grand strategy game, Crusader Kings II. This new expansion is led by none other than the Father of Europe and adds new story events, an extra century of gameplay, and several features that gamers have long requested.
Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne, can be purchased for $14.99, and is accompanied by new downloadable content for the main game. This new DLC includes the Dynasty Shields: Charlemagne collection, new portrait packs, and even an e-book version of the medieval epic Song of Roland.
Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne leads in a host of free changes to the core Crusader Kings II experience as well. These include a major overhaul to the nomadic tribes of Europe, making them even more distinctive from their neighbors who seek shelter behind castle walls.
Charlemagne introduces players to the man who becomes known as the “Father of Europe”. This man united much of the continent for the first time since the fall of Rome and the founding of the Holy Roman Empire. Gamers will be able to start a dynasty as far back as 769 AD, allowing them to experience a series of story events surrounding the rise of the great man.
