Duel of Champions receives Sins of Betrayal expansion

infernal pitMight & Magic: Duel of Champions receives a new expansion on October 9, 2014. This expansion, titled Sins of Betrayal, will tell the story of the endless family war that breaks out between the six heirs of Duke Slava Griffin after his murder. Now the most loyal child and heir of the DUke, Anastasya, must venture into a dream in order to discover the identity of the murderer who took over her mind and used her to kill her father.

Sins of Betrayal features 100 new cards. Each new hero in this expansion is a member of the Griffin clan, plotting against each other after they have sworn allegiance to a different faction. The box contains 10 Super Packs for 1,250 seals, with each one offering 12 new cards for 150 seals.

In addition to these new decks, Sins of Betrayal features a Replay manager. This will allow gamers to watch their previous duels and thus sharpen their strategies for future matches. In addition, multiplayer rules have undergone a change. To be specific, the first player can no longer either use their hero’s ability or even draw a card during their supply phase. The second player also gets an advantage in the form of a Dragon Crystal, which can be utilized at any time during a match and grants the player one free effect.

Finally, we come to the Infernal Pit. Players are used to sacrificing their cards in the pit to obtain other cards, but now it gets even better. For every 1,000 Gold worth of sacrifices in the Pit, you will be granted a Wildcard. Thus, if you sacrifice enough to redeem a common card, you will collect 1,000 Gold as well as a unique Wildcard.
