F.E.A.R. Online arrives on October 17, Aeria Games announced today. The title will be available on the Steam client. If you just can’t wait that long to experience F.E.A.R. Online then you can sign up for the Open Beta, which begins on October 8 by visiting the F.E.A.R. website.

F.E.A.R. Online has undergone  an extensive redesign and gameplay adjustments since its time in Closed Beta. These have come from player feedback, and the developers hope that it will allow fans of the horror franchise to engage in new, terrifying experiences in the F.E.A.R. universe.

Dr. Pascal Zuta, CEO of Aeria Games stated, “We are excited to introduce F.E.A.R. Online to millions of PC gamers with the launch on the Steam platform. Taking player feedback to heart, our team has redesigned elements of the game that are most important to players to deliver an experience that we hope will please the vast and dedicated fan base of the F.E.A.R. series.”

The game sends in the F.E.A.R. task force to investigate Armacham Technology Corporation’s unsettling experiments. The game features several team combat modes and more than 10 maps for you to explore. F.E.A.R. Online’s story occurs in parallel to the events shown in F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, and allows up to four players to team up and fight against the Armacham personnel and hideous monsters.

Can you survive?
