Haemimont Games‘ Tropico 5 has been delayed until 2015 for PlayStation 4, after the game had been originally planned for release in autumn 2014.

The reason seems to be the necessity of more development time for Sony‘s console, which seems to be an usual motive to delay a video game. Tropico 5 launched in May on PC and on September 19th for Linux and Mac. Also a Xbox 360 version is also planned for November 11th.

“We want to give PlayStation owners the best possible Tropico experience so we decided to give Tropico 5 a little more time in the final stages of development. With this in mind we have moved the release until early in Q1 2015.”
