Faithful followers of the company know that Bossa Studios runs internal Game Jams every single month. These Game Jams tend to spawn an entire spectrum of creations. This month, one of the games may change everything, however.
This title, called Centipedius, is a “hyper realistic Centipede Simulator”. It features one character and one environment, but the developers state that, “Players will be immersed in a truly next-gen experience, taking them from their homes, and into a whole new world of virtual realism.” Every player will utilize an Xbox controller in order to control two legs of a centipede.
Centipedius contains two modes. The first is co-op, which allows up to four players to simultaneously control the same centipede. The second Is versus, In this mode, players will be split into two teams, controlling competing centipedes.
“The game is a bastion of hope amongst a sea of iterative dribble,” claims Andy Green, an artist on the project.
