Each stage is a sandbox in The Masterplan.
Shark Punch’s upcoming title The Masterplan has received an Early Access version recently. This version, available on the official website, Steam, and the Humble Store, was released because of Shark Punch’s CEO, Jiri Kupiainen’s thoughts.
“We believe the best way to build games is to involve the audience from the earliest possible moment,” Jiri stated. “We get valuable feedback and suggestions, and the players get a chance to be a part of the development team.”
For those unsure as to what the title is, The Masterplan is set in the early 1970s. It features beautiful hand-drawn 2D art, as well as an authentic soundtrack. The gameplay itself blends a physics-based world with a clever AI system and an easy to approach “real time with slow motion” user interface, as the developers describe it.
This Early Access version is fully playable at launch and provides gamers with 1.5-2 hours of playtime. It features several heist locations, which are sandboxes. As a result, gamers are encouraged to play through the stages several times utilizing different tactics in order to experience various results.
The game is currently scheduled to receive updates every two weeks.
