GfK Chart-Track has recently released sales figures for Destiny, during its first week in stores. With the mention that digital download figures are not included in these numbers, the stats indicate a 50/50 split in Destiny sales between PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
PlayStation 4 leads the retail board with a 46% share in sales, an important fact that contributed to this percent is the bonus content included with the game. Xbox One is not far behind with 36% of units sold last week.
Meanwhile, on the old-gen console Xbox 360 leads with 14% of sales, compared to only 4% of sales on PlayStation 3. Adding the numbers, there is a 50% share in Destiny sales on both sides.
Destiny is one of the biggest new IP launch in video game history and one of the most expected games of this year.
