Legions of Steel Beta goes live
Today the group behind Legions of Steel was excited to announce the launch of the game’s Beta phase.
For those unaware, the game puts you in command of an elite squad of human troopers that has been sent behind enemy lines in order to eliminate a threat of the Empire of Machines. The Empire is a fearsome robotic authority that is endangering the entire galaxy, and it is up to you to stop it.
If you prefer to repel the human infiltrators, you can opt to take on the role of the robots as they move through the dark and cold corridors of the Machine’s undergrounds in order to take out the invaders.
This title is directly inspired by the board game of the same name. Legions of Steel paced, thrilling tactical combat in which every move may change the outcome of a battle. In order to be successful, you will need to analyze the maps carefully, plan your orders wisely, and select the correct tactical options. If the enemy is better at reading your moves, however, they will easily be able to outmaneuver your squads, taking you out before you can achieve victory.
The game features two single-player solo campaigns, hotseat, and skirmish modes. In addition to various multiplayer scenarios, the game captures the essence of the original board game while introducing new features to adapt Legions of Steel to modern standards.
