Destiny Sells Over $500 Million on Day One

According to Activision, Destiny is now the biggest video game franchise launched in history, as it was sold for over $500 million on day one.

Also, Activision said that the new IP tends to follow Skylanders and Call of Duty to become a billion dollar franchise. It has also become the fastest sold digital console game of all time.

“This industry milestone marks another blockbuster success for our company and demonstrates our unique ability to create some of the most successful entertainment franchises in the world.” said Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick.
