Chronology warps onto iOS

Chronology arrives on iOS.

Osao Games, an indie studio dedicated to crafting touching game experiences, was excited to announce that their mind-bending puzzle-platforming title, Chronology is now available on iOS.

Chronology has been improved and remastered for mobile devices, allowing you to follow the journey of a brilliant inventor and his mechanically-inclined snail as they attempt to reshape the outcome of their world. The game is free to try, with the first three chapters available to download from the iOS App Store at no cost.

If you enjoy these chapters and want to unlock five longer ones, you can make a one-time in-app purchase of $2.99 in order to do so. The team has also revealed that additional chapters are planned to be incorporated into the mobile version at a later date.

For those unaware, Chronology has had a rather turbulent history. The original developers had put the title up on Steam Greenlight, and successfully had it passed by the community. Unfortunately, however, in January 2014, they were forced to close their doors.

That wouldn’t be the end of the game, however, as a dedicated team of developers decided to form Osao Games. These developers went on to continue the title’s development, finally finishing it and giving Chronology its Steam debut in May 2014. The game met with positive reception, even being selected as one of eight finalists for the Nordic Game Indie Sensation Award.

What are your thoughts on the new iOS version? Will you be trying it out, or will you stick to the Steam version? Or will you, perhaps, be skipping the puzzle title completely?
