LEGO Batman 3 is the first LEGO game to ever receive a Season Pass.
Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment today revealed that LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will be the first LEGO videogame to receive a Season Pass. This Season Pass will include six DLC packs, each featuring a unique themed mission level with story and free play modes.
In these six packs, players will be able to unlock a grand total of over 40 characters, vehicles, achievements, and more. The first three packs will arrive on November 14, and are detailed below, while the remaining three will be announced at a later date.
The first LEGO Batman 3 DLC pack is The Dark Knight Pack, which allows you to experience the heart-pounding chase scene from the iconic film first-hand. The scene comes complete with cool vehicles and explosive action as you take on the role of the legendary Dark Knight and Commissioner Gordon.
You can also control the Joker and his goons as they chase down Harvey Dent’s police escort. Finally, Bane and Catwoman from the third film of the franchise are also playable. This pack will release on November 14, 2014.
Next up is the Man of Steel Pack. This mission tasks you with helping Jor-El, his wife Lara, and their robot Kelex send the infant Kal-el into space towards the presumed safety of Earth. This will be far from easy, however, as Krypton is rapidly falling into chaos. You will need to find a way into Jor-El’s home and fight against General Zod’s invading forces, and eventually Zod himself, as you attempt to save Superman.
The third pack that’s been revealed is the Batman 75th Pack, which allows you to play as Joker and Harley. These two will be setting up a variety of celebration set pieces. If you decide to choose to be the Batman, then you will be able to play through some of his most iconic faces through the years, including his very first appearance in Detective Comics #27.
Do these three packs (as well as the unknown future packs) make the Season Pass worth grabbing?
