The first details about Resident Evil: Revelations 2‘s plot and gameplay were revealed! The main character of the game will be Claire Redfield, who “in the time since we last saw her” has “grown to be a seasoned veteran”.
Throughout the campaign you can play in either single-player or co-op. In co-op, Claire will be joined by Moira Burton, the daughter of Barry Burton. Claire Redfield is more aggressive and attack focused, while Moira Burton is support-style character. Indeed, Moira’s role is to keep Claire alive, providing things like health herbs and a flashlight.
An interesting fact is that only Claire’s death will launch a game over screen!
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 takes place between the events of Resident Evil 5 and 6. The game is set in an abandoned island detention facility and the story begins with Claire and Moira waking up after being abducted. Like Resident Evil: Revelations, the sequel will be survival horror-based, and not action-oriented like the recent entries in the series.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is coming out for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC in early 2015. The game will run at 1080p resolution and 60fps.
