Microsoft’s Xbox One is now available in Japan, but nobody seems to be picking it up. To attract more customers, the company has decided to give away free six months codes for Xbox Live Gold membership for everyone who buys their console from Japan. However, for anyone to qualify, there’s some pretty straightforward requirements: the console needs to be bought from Japan, the account on the console has to be Japanese, and the user needs to sign in until December 31, 2014.
The codes supply is limited, and if this incentive convinces many people to purchase the console, we can expect for the them to be finished soon. The Xbox Live Gold membership will offer buyers the chance to play online, and receive some free games monthly — which can be a decent incentive for some.
