Nintendo Reveals New 3DS XL, and 3DS Consoles
Nintendo’s portable consoles will get a refresh after three years since they are available on the market. Both standard 3DS and 3DS XL will now feature colored buttons, and new ZR and LR buttons. The camera can now also be controller using the nub situated above the face colored buttons, and both the stylus and the card slots were moved to the bottom of the 3DS.
The two consoles will also benefit from improved hardware, with a blur-less 3D screen, and reduced loading times. You’ll also be able to use it with the brand new Nintendo Amiibo. The console will only be released in Japan for now, and will run you 16,000 yen for the standard 3DS, and 18,800 yen for the 3DS XL.
They will be available starting October 11, 2014 in Japan, with an European release to be announced at some point in 2015.
