Rising Generals enters Closed Beta
InnoGames today announced that their highly anticipated title, Rising Generals, has officially entered the Closed Beta phase. Now “a considerable number of” pre-registered players will be able to access the game and take part in the real-time battles for the first time.
Those that have been selected will receive an email with a beta-key, which will be activated through beta.risinggenerals.com. In addition, the developer will be allowing access to this phase through various social media pages and lotteries, and players can still register for a chance to get one.
For those wondering what the game is, Rising Generals is a player versus player MMO with a Modern Warfare setting. It was designed for short (but intense) gaming sessions with a high focus on action. More than 20 units are available in the game, ranging from heavy tanks and infantry to helicopters and warplanes.
Each of the game’s worlds can accommodate up to 40,000 players. These players can band together to fight in what the developer calls “Battle Groups” for dominance, with unlockable technologies and officers and generals providing helpful bonuses and perks.
InnoGames was supported in their creation of Rising Generals by Bruce Shelley, who is well known for his work on Civilization and Age of Empires.
