“Players didn’t understand Destiny until they played the beta” developer Bungie stated

After spending over a decade creating the popular Halo franchise, Bungie has finally moved over to a new exciting project, Destiny. But creating a great game it’s not enough when you have in your hands an IP that never saw the light of day.

And it seems that most people had problems understanding Destiny’s universe, but fortunately with the beta, Bungie managed to show gamers what could they expect from the upcoming MMO.
Jonty Barnes, director of production over at Bungie, told MCV that “Players didn’t understand Destiny until they played the beta”.

“We didn’t realise, because we were living it, how difficult it was to talk about – how seamlessly you move between activities, how you collide and then

disrupt,” Barnes said. “We kept on talking about the core game, and people just didn’t grasp it until they got their hands on it. Since the beta it has been easier to explain what the game is.”

The beta phase of the game not only answered a lot of questions raised by fans, but also made Destiny the most pre-ordered game of all time. Prepare for September to be an awesome month for Destiny fans all over the world!
