First screens and box art revealed for Planes: Fire & Rescue

Snapshot_20140709_181100[3]The game inspired by Disney’s adventure-comedy that recently debuted in theaters, Planes: Fire & Rescue continues the films storyline as you join the Piston Peak Air Attack team in order to fight fires and rescue those in need.

You will embark on an adventure, being able to play as any one of the nine main characters, including the world-famous air racer Dusty. Joining Dusty is a new crop of characters, including Blade, Dipper, and Dynamite. Together you’ll combine heroic action and teamwork as you work to scoop up water, drop smokejumpers, and bulldoze debris as you attempt to put out massive wildfires.

While battling these fires you’ll be able to soar across rich environments that feature iconic monuments and structures from the film. You will have two modes to choose from: Fire & Rescue and Training Academy.

The game’s story mode features 12 missions, while the training academy features more than 30 for you to take on as you operate planes, helicopters, and even ground vehicles in order to respond to emergencies. As you train, you can “Earn your wings” in order to reach new heights.

Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue is scheduled to release in North America, Europe, and Australia on Nintendo Wii, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and DS this fall.
